God Sees Your Faithfulness

Strength for the WorkScripture Focus

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
— 2 Chronicles 15:7 (NIV)

Devotional Teaching

There are moments in life when even the most faithful grow weary. You’ve prayed, served, and persevered, yet the breakthrough still hasn’t come. Fatigue settles in. Discouragement whispers. You begin to wonder, Is it worth it?

God answers with this powerful reminder from 2 Chronicles 15:7:
“Be strong. Don’t give up. Your work will be rewarded.”

These words came to Asa, king of Judah, during a time of national revival. He had torn down idols and turned the people back to God, but the road remained long and full of opposition. Right in the middle of doing the right thing, Asa needed reassurance. God reminded him: I see you. I will reward you. Keep going.

This same promise belongs to you.

1. The Call to Be Strong

“But as for you, be strong…”

Sometimes the toughest battles happen inside us, not around us. Strength isn’t only physical—it’s emotional, spiritual, and mental. Being strong means:

  • Holding on when everything says let go
  • Continuing to believe when nothing changes
  • Choosing faith when fear grows louder

The Hebrew word for strong implies courage, endurance, and resolve. It describes being firm and immovable in purpose. You don’t need to feel strong—you need to stand strong.

Moreover, God doesn’t ask you to rely on your own power. He offers His:

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” — Psalm 29:11

When your strength runs out, His strength steps in.

2. Don’t Give Up

“…do not give up…”

Quitting often feels easier when you’re tired or frustrated. However, God says: Don’t stop now. Don’t abandon what I’ve called you to do. Don’t walk away just because results seem slow.

The enemy loves to whisper:

  • “This isn’t working.”
  • “You’re not making a difference.”
  • “You should just give up.”

But God answers with encouragement:

  • “Keep going.”
  • “I see it.”
  • “I will reward you.”

Paul reinforced this in Galatians 6:9:

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

The harvest will come. Your only task is to keep sowing faithfully.

3. God Sees and Rewards Faithfulness

“…for your work will be rewarded.”

Not might be—it will be.
God never overlooks your faithfulness. He remembers every late-night prayer, every quiet act of kindness, and every moment of obedience.

What kind of reward does He promise?

  • Sometimes, it’s visible breakthrough.
  • Other times, it’s inner peace and deep fulfillment.
  • Always, it’s His presence and eternal fruit.

Even when others fail to notice, heaven records it all. Nothing you do for God ever disappears without purpose.

4. When the Work Feels Invisible or Unfinished

Perhaps your efforts seem unnoticed:

  • Parenting when no one sees your sacrifice.
  • Serving in ministry when no one says thank you.
  • Building a business or vision that still feels fragile.
  • Staying faithful when life keeps pushing back.

This verse reminds you that God Himself is your audience. Even when the stage feels empty, His eyes are on you.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:4:

“Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

The seeds you plant today may not sprout until tomorrow—or eternity. Nevertheless, keep planting with faith.

5. Strength for the Work for the Long Haul

Obedience is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. Because of that, you need God’s strength for endurance. So how do you renew your strength when you grow weary?

  • Prayer: Your direct lifeline to divine power.
  • God’s Word: Fuel that reignites your faith.
  • Rest: A spiritual act that shows trust.
  • Encouragement: Surround yourself with people who speak life.
  • Gratitude: A habit that shifts focus from burdens to blessings.

Isaiah 40:31 promises:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength…”

God never runs dry. Whenever you feel exhausted, go back to the Source.

6. Keep Showing Up

Success in God’s kingdom rarely depends on talent or speed—it depends on faithfulness. Therefore, show up again in prayer. Show up again with kindness. Show up again in faith.

God builds His kingdom through people who remain available. You don’t need to be flashy—just faithful.

“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2

When you keep showing up, God keeps showing up too.
